Youth for Change Bangladesh Foundation (YFC-BD) is a youth-led Non-Government Organization, working in partnership with organizations and governments to create positive change in society. Youth For Change launched in 2015 as a project of Plan International and became an independent entity in 2018. Youth For Change Bangladesh Foundation has been registered as a youth organization under the Dept. of Youth Development, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms under the Societies Registration Act 1860 of the Govt. of Bangladesh and officially registered under NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB Registration no:3444).
About Space To Lead:
The Space to Lead (S2L) programme, funded by SIDA through Plan International, will run from October 2025 to December 2028 in Bangladesh. The programme aims to strengthen a vibrant civil society where children and youth, especially girls and young women aged 10 to 24, can exercise their rights and experience gender equality. It focuses on supporting youth-led organisations and advancing SRHR and protection from violence, while building civil society participation, improving child protection and referral access, and strengthening SRHR decision-making and services. All activities integrate gender and inclusion, conflict sensitivity, and climate resilience, and follow a harmonised global reporting framework with shared indicators.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the project inception, coordination meetings, and phase-out process to ensure smooth implementation and accountability.
- Build the capacity of partner staff and youth-led organisations through the Organizational Capacity Development process, including Organizational Capacity Self-Assessments and development and follow-up of improvement plans.
- Support youth-led CSOs to design, lead, and implement key initiatives such as the National Youth Summit, Innovation Labs, and local-to-national advocacy activities focused on SRHR, protection, and civic participation.
- Coordinate and organize multi-level dialogue forums and consultation meetings with government duty-bearers, policymakers, and community actors to strengthen accountability and influence positive policy and system-level changes.
- Facilitate meaningful community engagement through campaigns, observance of international days, and awareness activities to promote positive norms on gender equality, SRHR, and protection from violence.
- Support girls and young women through aspiration-building sessions, career pathways initiatives, networking with employers, and ongoing workplace follow-up to ensure safe and inclusive work environments.
- Ensure monitoring, follow-up, and documentation of implementation progress, learning, and good practices aligned with the programme’s global indicators and reporting requirements.
General Duties
- Ensure effective planning, coordination, and implementation of all project activities in alignment with organizational standards, donor requirements, and agreed timelines.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with partner organizations, youth-led CSOs, government authorities, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.
- Provide technical and operational support to project staff, volunteers, and youth groups to maintain quality, inclusiveness, and accountability in programme delivery.
- Facilitate capacity-building processes, organizational development initiatives, and youth engagement efforts to strengthen leadership and participation in civic space.
- Promote meaningful participation of children, youth, especially girls and young women, across all components of the project and ensure a safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive environment.
- Lead monitoring, follow-up, and documentation processes to track progress, capture learning, and ensure timely and accurate reporting to management and donors.
- Uphold safeguarding principles and ensure that all project interventions prioritize the safety, protection, and wellbeing of participants and beneficiaries.
- Represent YFC-BD in coordination meetings, workshops, and external forums to promote collaboration and strengthen institutional visibility.
- Support the development of project reports, communication materials, and other documentation required for accountability and knowledge sharing.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor or management to ensure successful project performance.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Administration, or any relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Additional training or certification in project management, SRHR, GVB, safeguarding, or organizational capacity development will be considered an advantage.
