  1. Background
Youth For Change Bangladesh Foundation (YFC-BD) is a nationwide, youth-focused, non-profit, and non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering children, adolescents, and young people, with special attention to women and marginalized groups. Established in 2018, YFC-BD provides a platform for youth to express their ideas, share experiences, and actively participate in social change initiatives, ensuring that young people are recognized as agents of change within their communities. The organization builds the capacities of youth across diverse areas, including gender equality, climate action, disaster risk reduction, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), human rights, and skill development. Through targeted training, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities, YFC-BD empowers youth to take leadership roles, advocate for social justice, and contribute to sustainable development. The organization also promotes collaboration among adolescents and youth by unifying them under a common platform and establishing partnerships with youth networks, activists, and organizations with similar objectives. YFC-BD is registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) under Registration No. 3444 and the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) under Registration No. S-13770, ensuring full compliance with Bangladesh’s legal and regulatory frameworks. The organization envisions a society founded on choice, equity, and sustainability, aligned with global efforts to reduce poverty, promote social inclusion, and mitigate climate vulnerability. YFC-BD has implemented initiatives in livelihoods, youth development, gender equality, protection against violence, agriculture, climate change, disaster management, health, safeguarding, and skill development. YFC-BD is committed to supporting vulnerable populations, including youth, adolescents, women, persons with disabilities, and ethnic and minority groups. The organization promotes meaningful participation of these groups in decision-making processes and works to enhance the accountability of duty bearers at local and national levels. In response to the increasing frequency and intensity of civic space-related hazards, there is a critical need to strengthen the capacity of youth volunteers and partner organizations. This consultancy assignment seeks to enhance community resilience by equipping youth volunteers with knowledge and practical skills in Civic Space, Monitoring Tool & Action Plan.
